Bank Transfers

In certain countries, Bank Transfers is another payment option for purchasing ITC's. Bank transfers are handled through our payment partner Global Collect.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

When you go to purchase italki credits, you will now have the option to pay through Bank Transfer.

After you select bank transfer, you will be asked to confirm the amount of italki credit to purchase, and which country is your bank in. The designated bank account will be different depending on the country, and this helps keep the bank transfer fees very low.

After you fill out your purchase information, you will receive payment instructions on where to send your payment to complete your order. This information will include the bank name, city, payee, SWIFT Code, country, account number, and reference number.

IMPORTANT:

You must include the reference number in the notes with your transfer. Without this reference number the processing of your payment will be delayed or may not be possible. This reference number can be used for one payment only. If you make a repeat purchase you need to generate a new order and a new reference number. Your purchase of italki credits (ITC) will be credited to your italki account upon settlement of your bank transfer. Typically this may take 3 to 7 business days. Please keep a copy of your receipt as proof of payment.


CORRECT AMOUNT POLICY

The amount which you send to our payment processing agent must match the amount of your order. For amounts which do not match, our policy is as follows:

Amount Sent is Less
If the amount you send is less than the amount of your order, you will receive communication from us that we have received your bank transfer but you still owe a certain amount to complete your purchase. No ITC's will be credited to your account until the amount due is paid.

Amount Sent is More
If the amount you send is more than the amount of your order, you will receive a communication from us and given two options. The first option is to have additional ITC's credited to your account for the amount over your order amount, rounded DOWN to the nearest ITC. For example, you sent a bank tranfer for USD 3.12 too much. You will have the option to receive 31 additional ITC's. The second option is request a refund for the amount that is over your original order. Please note that we will deduct any bank transfer fees from the amount that will be sent to you.

If you have questions on the status of your bank transfer, please obtain a copy of your receipt or bank statement (indicating the day the funds were taken from your account). Scan your proof of payment and email it to service@italki.com.
